RIOTING IN INDIA
POLICE FIRE ON GREAT CROWD THREAT TO BURN GAOL LONDON, July 17. The Simla correspondent of the Times says there was one killed and 30 injured when police in Dhami State fired on 2000 political demonstrators, threatening to burn a gaol and attack the palace. The political agent in the Punjab has arrived and the situation is now under control.
