Mrs. W. Lambert, Westmere, is visiting Wellington to attend a Mothers’ Union conference being held during the anual Synod meeting. Probably the oldest white woman in New Zealand, Mrs. Emma Harries, of Cargill road, South Dunedin, celebrated her one hundred and fifth birthday yesterday. Although her hearing is not very good. Mrs. Harries bears the burden of her years remarkably well. ENGAGEMENT. Fowler—Poad.— The engagement is announced of Enid Jessie, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.
