The price of New Zealand butter last week rose to 1265, the time since January that the guaranteed price level has been passed. The present price is from 4s to 5s a cwt. above that ruling a year ago. Friday’s closing quotations, with those oi the previous week in parentheses, were as follows: — New Zealand, salted, 126 s (1245; a year ago, 121 s to 1225); unsalted, • (124 s to 1255; a year ago, 112 s to 1235). Australian, salted, 117 s (116 s to 117 s); unsalted, 116 s to 117 s (116 s to 117 s). Danish, 109 s f.0.b., 130 s to 131 s spot (105 s to 1275). Dutch, salted, 110 s to Ills (Ills to 112 s); unsalted, 110 s to Ills, ex. 113 s (Ills to 112 s). Irish, cream, salted, 121 (121). The London equivalent of the guaranteed price is 124 s 3d a cwt. The ; equivalent price of cheese is about 7.49 d per lb., f.0.b., compared with the guaranteed price of 8.42 d. Deliveries of New Zealand buttei ; from store last week totalled 12'i8 . ton.-, as against 1804 tons for the preceding week. The quantity in store on Friday, including 249 tons ex Port Wellington, was 5820 tons, compared with 7487 tuns a year ago. Deliveries of Australian butter from store were 1930 tons, as against 1825 tons for the preceding week. The : quantity in store was 5835 tons, com- . pared with 4554 tons <t year ago.
