PLUNKET DANCE Those responsible for the holding cf the annual Plunket dance in the Druid's Hall. Raetihi, on Friday last, have every reason to be satisfied with the success of their efforts. The hall, decorated in a manner that combined effectiveness with restraint, was comfortably filled with dancers. One of ithe features of the function was the dinner wagon supper, which was the subject of much favourable comment. The evening generally went with a swing under the capable hands of Messrs. S. Sims and R. Urwin as M.C’s. Music was supplied by Gus Large's Chateau Band. The 1939 Plunket dance was worthy of its predecessors and a distinct credit to the preliminary efforts of Mrs. F. L. Smith as president, and Mrs. C. M. Whyte as dance secretary, together with their band of enthusiastic assistants. w
