Th rough a tyre bursting, a sedan c motor-car with six occupants, got out " of control when descending the Stoke 1 side of Bishopdale Hill on Saturday 3 and turned over, becoming a wreck c so far as body work was concerned. ° AH the occupants were taken to hospi tai. e Charles Knight, aged 58, late of Christchurch, butcher, died on Sunday morning from internal injuries. I The injured are:— 1 W. M. Bourne, of Akaka, the driver, head injuries, not serious. 3 Colin Berkett, of Hope, severe ‘‘ facial cuts, not serious. . Miss Doris Berkett, of Hope, broken ’ collarbone. Miss Rata Kenning, injured back. 1 ’ I D. M. McLaren, shock and bruises.
