MUDGWAY BEATEN
BOXING AT AUCKLAND ( Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND. July 17. The defeat of Neville Mudgway, of Auckland, holder of the professional welterweight championship of New Zealand, was the feature of the programme staged by the Auckland Boxing Association at the Town Hall. In a match of ten three-minute rounds the decision was given on points to Johnnie Foster, of Canada. It was a disappointing exhibition all round. A professional preliminary saw Bert McKay, the Auckland lightweight maintain his sequence of victories by a technical knock-out, his opponent on this occasion being Fred Finnigan. J of Wellington. The bout was stopped i by the referee in the fourth round. 1
