AUCTIONEER’S NOTE.—We have inspected this herd and buyers are confidently recommended to attend this Sale, as the cows arc of really good quality, most young Jersey and Jersey cross. The 1938-39 season was one of the worst experienced in the Fordell district for a number of years, the spring was very late, and after January an abnormal drought set in which very adversely affected butterfat: returns. In spite of these conditions the herd averaged 2951b5. butterfat in 253 days.
