NEW ZEALAND AT 126 s STILL ABOVE GUARANTEE The marked improvement in buttcx prices in London has been maintained although the market is now 1/portec to be quiet. Choicest salted New Zealand is selling at 126 s per cwt., th; same as the mid-week quotation, bul showing a rise of 2s 6d over the past week. Values are now at the highest level since February, and are almost up t. the season’s peak of 127 s per cwt reached in January. The present quo. tation exceeds the London equivaiem of the guaranteed price by Is 9d pei cwt., or almost id per lb., f.o.b. The market for cheese is firm. New Zealand white and coloured are but! unchanged at 64s 6d and 67s per cwt respectively. Australian white is i shade lower at 62s to 62s 6d, but col oured is slightly higher at 64s to 65: per cwt.
