( LOSE OF CONFERENCE. The W.D.F.U. conference concluded on Friday afternoon, many of the delegates afterwards going to Pali merston North to visit the division’s rest home at Awapuni. Great disappointment was expressed by Mrs. F. A. Howie, of Taihape, and Mrs. W. H. Ward, of Southland, that more time had not heen available for those vitally ini terested in adult education in the country to relate their experiences. "Great work is being done in spite of almost insurmountable difficulties,” said Mrs. Howie. It was suggested that it should be compulsory for all cars Io carry simple first-aid outfits. Committees appointed by the [women’s division in the afternoon were:—Finance committee, Mesdames i Matheson, McNeil. Hawthorne, and I Preshaw; co-ordinating committee, ’ ! Mesdames J. C. Wickham, T.
