PART-OWNER OF AJAX
MR. EDWARD BAILLIEI DEAD PROMINENT AUSTRALIAN MAN MELBOURNE, July 14. The death has occurred of Edward Lloyd Bail lieu, aged 70, a part-owner of the racehorse Ajax and one of six brothers with wide business interests in Australia and London. He was a member of the London Stock Exchange. Mr. Baillieu was a prominent figure on the Australian turf, and won the Melbourne Cup of 1924 with Backrood. which he owned in partnership ■ ith Messrs. W. Clark and A. Hughes.
