GOLDEN HIND LAUNCHED
LARGEST COMMERCIAL PLANE BLILT IN BRITAIN TEST I-LIGHT THIS WEEK [ Eritijh Official Wireless. ] RUGBY’, June 18. The airliner Golden Hind, which cost £70.000, was launched at Short Brothers* seaplane works on the Medway. The Golden Hind is the largest commercial aircraft built in Britain her all-up weight exceeding 31 tons, and she can travel 6000 miles nonstop. She will undergo a test flight probably this week-end and is expected to oe handed over to Imperial Airways this month.
