WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL. IJUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Waitotara County Council, at its Meeting to be held in the Waitotara County Council Chambers at Wanganui, on the 11th day of July, 1939, to make and levy General rates under the provisions of “The Rating Act, 1925,” and Sections 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” upon the rateable (Capital) value as appearing in the Valuation Roll as corrected from the District Valuation Roll up to the 31st March, 1939, of all rateable property in the several ridings comprising the County of Waitotara, to the amounts following respectively:— Brunswick - Westmere Riding.—One and one-sixteenths of a penny in the pound. Waitotara Riding.—One penny in the pound. Mosston Riding.—One and one-eighth of a penny in the pound. Tokomaru Riding.—Three pence in the pound. ALSO, that it is the intention of the said. Council, at its said meeting, to make and levy a Hospital rate under the provisions of “The Rating Act, 1925, and Section 52 of "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable (Capital) value as appearing in the Valuation Roll as corrected from the District Valuation Roll up to the 31st day of March, 1939, of ail rateable properties in the County of Waitotara. The whole of the above-mentioned rates are for a period of one year com-' mencing on the Ist day of April, 1939, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1940. Such <ates will be payable in one sum on the 12th day of July, 1939, at the Office of the Waitotara County Council, 136 Ridgway Street, Wanganui. ALSO, at the direction of the Wanganui Harbour Board, to make and levy a Harbour rate of eight twentyfifths of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the area as set out and described in “The Wanganui Harbour District and Empowering Act, 191.3,” that lies within the County of Waitotara. Such rate is for the year ending the 30th day of September, 1939, and will be payable in one sum on the 12th day of July, 1939, at the Office of the Waitotara County Council, 136 Ridgway Street, Wanganui.
