ENGLISH CRICKET ONLY ONE OUTRIGHT WIN Rain interfered with the latc.-t series of county cricket, matches in England, and Derbyshire was the only team which managed to gain an outright win. In the match between Lancashire and Sussex at Liverpool no play was possible, and Hampshire and Nottinghamshire wer unable to reach a decision on the first innings. Although a number of batsmen made centuries, scoring was in most cases moderate, with bowlers getting good figures. LONDON, June 16. Rain curtailed all county cricket games . Results are: Surrey v. Derbyshire, at. Guildford. Derbyshire 247 (Parker six lor 31). Surrey 77 (Copson four for 30, A. Pope six for 44) and, following on, 127 (G. Pope five for 46). Derbyshire won by an innings and 43 runs). Glamorgan v. Worcestershire, at Cardiff. Glamorgan 161. (Perks five for 65) and 281 for nine. Worcester 388 (Palmer 128). Worcester won on the first innings. Hampshire v. Nottinghamshire, at Portsmouth. -Nottinghamshire 446 for six, declared (Heanc 138, Gunn not. out 100). Hampshire 206 for four (Arnold 81). The match was abandoned and the result was a draw. Lancashire v. Sussex, at Liverpool. —There was no play and the match was abandoned. Yorkshire v. Northamptonshire, at Leeds-Northamptonshire 180 (Timm; 92; Bowes six for 57). Yorkshire 292 for eight (Mitchell 102 not out). Yorkshire won on the first innings. Warwickshire v. Cambridge University, at Birmingham.- Cambridge 164 (Hollies five for 61) and 118 for two. Warwickshire 254. The match was drawn. Oxford University v. Leicestershire, at Oxford.—Oxford 147 (Sperry live for 65) and 90 for four. Leicestershire 237 (Armstrong 105 not out). The match was drawn.
