EGMONT-WANGANUI HUNT CLUB

(Own Correspondent.) WAVERLEY, June 19. It was an ideal hunting day on Saturday when the Egmont-Wanganui I Hunt Club threw aft’ from Mrs. E. ! Parson’s homestead, Nukumaru. The hounds were working well and hares were plentiful but owing to broken country plenty of cover was afforded them, allowing them 16 disappear out of hounds on several occasions. the hounds having to be called off. Fences had been well prepared for' the day's sport and Ihe hunt was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. At the conclusion of the sport, Mrs. Parsons entertained members and friends at the homestead. Actingmaster T. Lupton thanked Mrs. Parsons for her hospitality and also property owners—Messrs Parsons, Pearce land Mrs. K. Handley.
