RAETIHI SUB-BRANCH -MEET ING. (Own Correspondent.) RAETIHI, June 19. The usual monthly meeting of ihe Raetihi sub-branch was presided over by Mrs. F. L. Smith. The following were present:—Mesdames Q. Anderson, N. Brown, L. Baird, R. B. Davies, L. Fagg, H. E. Feltham, W. Jounneaux. G. Stewart, W. H. Sandford, C. M. Whyte and the secretary (Miss J. M. Abbott). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames R. Sigley and R. Ciochetto. The secretary was instructed to write to Mrs. J. H. Hardie (Ohakune) asking whether the appointment of a representative of the Raetihi subbranch to the committee of the Waimarino branch would be in order. Mrs. H. E. Feltham reported upon ihe recent conference of the advisory committee in connection with the establishment of a reserve fund. It was ultimately decided to open an account with the Post Office Sayings Bank. An amount of £SU was authorised to be withdrawn from the ordinary account as the nucleus of the reserve fund. Mrs. F. L. Smith and Miss J. M. Abbott were' appointed trustees to operate the account. The branches delegate to the Centennial Memorial Committee was instructed to inform that body that the riunket Sou ety s opinion was that a rest room and conveniences should be the first objective. At a later period, if the finances warranted it, the society would be prepared to add additional accommodation to the memorial buildings. Mesdames H. E. Feltham and Mrs. L. Baird were elected joint secretaries of the annual bulb show. The meeting decided to hold a Plunket dance on July 14. Mrs. C. M. Whyte was appointed secretary to this function. Arrangements were put in hand for the annua] street collecting campaign.
