MINE ACCIDENT
FIVE MEN BURIED AT BROKEN HILL ONLY ONE RESCUED* SYDNEY. Jun? H. Five men were trapped by a huge fall of earth at the South Mine, Broken Hill, yesterday af O'noon. Ray Burns, aged 21, was rescued about midnight following feverish efforts by rescuers. Little hope is held for the finding of the others alive. They are John Martin, aged 29; Percy McGregor, and Jack Falchi, aged 22; and Joseph Rodda, aged 23. The fall occurred between lhe levels of 300 and 900 feet.
