EFFECT OF IMPORT RESTRICTIONS STAFF REDUCTIONS LIKELY [ Per Press Association ] DUNEDIN, April 27. It was stated by a wholesaler that the drastic reduction in import licences had created a seller’s market, which meant that with the limited goods available for the demands the retailers’ necessity for sales staff had been removed. Unless there was a change in policy sales staffs must go, although reputable firms would maintain them as long as possible.
