TALLOW AND HEMP QUIET
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London, dated April 21:— Tallow: Market quiet, prices inclined easier. Present spot quotations are:—Mutton: Fine, 235; good, 20s; fair, 16s to 16s 6d. Beef. Fine, none, good, 17s; fair, 15s 6d to 16s 6d. Mixed: Good, 17s; fair, 15s 6d to 16s; gut, 13s 6d to 15s. Mutton, dark to dull, 14s 6d to 16s. Beef, dark to dull, 13s 6d to 15s 6d. Hemp.— Manila: Market quiet. Value “K” grade, April-June shipment, £l6 15s. Sisal: Market quiet and unchanged. New Zealand: Nothing to report.
