AIRCRAFT FOR DOMINION FIRST SIX TO ARRIVE IN JUNE [ Per Prees Association.! WELLINGTON, April 26. In an interview to-day, the Minister of Defence, Hon. F. Jones, referred to his previous announcement that the Wellington aircraft were to be flown to New Zealand, and said that representatives in England of the New Zealand Government would take delivery of the flrst Wellington next Thursday and that six aircraft, comprising the flrst flight, would be delivered by the end of May. This flight will be formed on June 1 under the command of SquadronLeader W. M. Buckley, 0.8. E., and will leave for New Zealand early in October. Flight-Lieutenant C. E. Kay has been appointed second-in-command and navigating officer. He is to leave for the United Kingdom on May 16. The second flight will form in October and is Io he commanded by Flight-Lieutenant R. J. Cohen, who will leave for the United Kingdom early in July. Both these officers, who are at present stationed at the flying training school at Wigram. Christchurch, will make the journey from Sydney to England by Imperial Airways. Squadron-Leader S. Wallingford, who is at present in England, will command the third flight, which is to form in December. The flights will be manned by officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force at present in England and other New Zealanders serving with the Royal Air Force, who will be transferred to the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Each flight will complete approximately three months’ training in England before leaving for the journey to New Zealand, which will be made via Singapore.
