LABOURER KILLED
CAUGHT BY FALL OF EARTH ACCIDENT WHILE LOADING LORRY. (Per Press Association. I AUCKLAND, March 21. Caught in a fall of earth at Takapuna quarry this afternoon a labourer suffered internal injuries from which he died a few minutes later. The victim was Luka Yulavich, single, aged 42, of Takapuna. With another man Yulavich was loading scoria into a standing lorry. A sudden fall occurred and Yulavich was thrown heavily against the end of the vehicle and jammed between it and the earth. Yulavich died before any attention could be given him. He was a Dalmatian who had been in New Zealand for about 14 years. The other man was standing on the other side of the lorry and was not naught by the fall.
