TWICE FORCED DOWN

AUSTRALIAN TREASURER FLIGHT IN A STORM MELBOURNE. March 6. The Federal Treasurer, Mr. R. G. Casey, and Mrs. Casey, were twice forced down by a storm which they tried unsuccessfully to fly round. Finally they were compelled' to abandon the plane in a small paddock at Carisruhe. They were flying from Canberra to Melbourne, and Mr. Casey was piloting the plane.
