The monthly meeting of the Central branch was held on Thursday afternoon in Trinity Parlour. The devotional exercises were led by Mrs. Goodey. Mrs. Sutton was appointed badge superintendent. In future members who do not wear their badges will be fined one penny. The treasurer’s report showed the union to he in a healthy position financially. The White -Ribbon superintendent reported 20 now White Ribbon subscribers. Four 1939 handbooks were ordered for the use of officers. A number of remits were discussed and voted on. Mrs. Laird, delegate to the Dominion convention, received instructions re voting on same. An enthusiastic mceti<ng closed with the Benediction.
