AIR PAGEANT AT WESTPORT

NEW LINK IN COMMERCIAL SERVICES [ Per Press Association.) WESTPORT, March 5. The second air pageant conducted by the Westport. Aero Club was held on the north beach aerodrome on Saturday and saw an assemblemeni of planes, the variet of which has not previously been seen on the West Coast. Features of the pageant were crazy flying by Erne Clark, of Christchurch, and formation flying by three visiting Royal New Zealand Air Force Vickers Vildebeeste bombers from Wigram station. An announcement was made by Mr. E. H. Thompson, director of the Cook Strait Airways, that Westport wiii shortlv be included in the Welling-ton-Nelson-West Coast service.
