I.R.A. SABOTAGE
SIGNALMAN TACKLES MAN WITH PARCEL. Received March 5, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, March 4. A signalman tackled a stranger with a parcel at Willesdon Green railway embankment, down which they both toppled, the suspect escaping with three companions ir car, trom which a shot was fired. It is assumed that the main line bridge was the objective. Fires al 2 a.m. in two of Birmingham’s largest department stores are ascribed to slow-com bustion material laid by incendiaries. The carnage was slight.
