The concluding day of the Southland Racing Club’s summer meeting was held in perfect racing weather. The track was in fast order and the attendance big. The totalisator handled £19,168 10s, compared with £17,170 10s on the same day of last year. The total fot the meeting was £40,882 10s, compared with £39,333 last year, an increase for the meeting of £1549 10s. Results:— Gladstone Hurdles—l/1 Recollection (J. Murfitt) 1, 2/3 Western Song (F.
