t SCOTT—PERANO. > The wedding took place at the i Baptist Church, Ingestre Street, re- 1 cently, when Joyce Rona, youngest ’ daughter of Mr. E. C. Perano and the ■ late Mrs. Perano, of Picton, was mar- ; ried to William Robert, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Scott, Wanganui. ' The church had been decorated with sweet peas and hydrzmgeas for the ‘ ceremony, whidi was performed by the Rev. E. Nicholls. Miss Thelma ' Cornish played the wedding music. A gown of ivory crepe sheer made . on simple lines, with long sleeves, and shirred train finished with small , sprays of orange blossom, was worn by the bride, with an embroidered tulle veil arranged to the head with a halo of orange olossoms. She wore a string of pearls and carried a bouquet of cream flowers. Mr. Perano escorted his daughter and Mr. R. Dunkerton was best man. Miss Pat Watts, as bridesmaid, wore a frock of apple '-green georgette, a headdress of velvet roses, and carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds, carnations and sweet peas. The bride’s nieces, Misses Joyce Horry and Verma Perano, of Picton, were flower girls, in dresses of rosesprigged organdie, and with pink and blue forget-me-nots in their hair. Their Victorian posies were to tone and they wore gold bangles, the gift of the bridegroom. About 100 guests were entertained at the reception, held in the Glasgow Street Hall. The table decorations were carried out to tone with bridal gowns. The two-tier wedding cake was made by the bridegroom’s mother as a gift to the bride. After the usual toasts were honoured the bridegroom’s father presented his son with his grandfather’s gold watch and chain, which he brought back from Australia on his last visit. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a navy blue georgette ensemble, with navy toque and veil. Her posy was of red carnations. Mrs. Jim Scott wore a smart honeycoloured redincoat floral frock with shoulder spray of irises to tone. Following the reception the guests enjoyed dancing, to music played by Mr. F. Stokes.
