Capt. and Mrs. H. Alp are spending a holiday in New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Livingstone, of Hawera, were visitors to Wanganui this week. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Tarrant, Wanganui East, have taken a flat at Castlecliff. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ritchie are Invercargill visitors to Wanganui. Miss D. Bruce leaves Wanganui to- ' morrow on a holiday visit to Wellington. Miss Hazel Dustin was a Wanganui visitor to Wellington at the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Blair, Maxwell, are spending a holiday at the Mount, Tauranga. Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Atkin, who have been visiting Wanganui during the Christmas and New Year holidays, have returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Ching, jun., of Bulls, have been visiting their parents in Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Young, Wanganui East, are at Castlecliff r where they have taken a cottage for a month. Mrs. M. Seaton and Mrs. P. McDowell and son, of Glasgow Street, Wanganui, spent the New Year with Mr. and Mrs Henry Sarjeant, Kohi, Waverley. Mr. and Mrs. W. McA. Duncan, Ruanui, are visiting Wanganui. Miss Jessie Stroud, of Wellington, has been spending the holidays with her mother, Mrs. J. K. Stroud, in Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. O. Burford, of New Plymouth, have been spending the holidays as the guests of Mrs. L. Elliot, Kai Iwi. Mrs. Basil Giblin, of Lower Hutt, who has been spending a holiday in Wanganui, has returned to her home. Mrs. Raxworthy, of Wellington, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. G. E. O’Halloran, Gonville, for a fortnight. Mrs. N. H. Law and Miss Maureen Law, of Papatoetoe, Auckland, who have been spending a few days with relatives in Wanganui, leave to-day by car for Wellington. Mrs. N. Stratton, of Auckland, who has been spending Christmas with her mother in Wanganui, left on Sunday by car for Auckland, where they will join the Wanganella for a two months’ holiday in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
