HITLER’S POLICY IN MEMEL. ONE CONDITION NAMED. [ British Official Wireless. ] Received Dec. 23, 5.5 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 22. Herr Hitler informed Mr. Chamberlain at Berchtesgaden that he would be glad to leave Memelland as it was, so long as the Memel Statute was observed by the Lithuanian Government. This was stated by the Prime Minister to-day in an answer, in the House of Commons.
