Dr. W. S. Charters, recently appointed medical registrar at the Wellington Hospital, will arrive in New Zealand from England on January 3. Mr. W. J. Mayor of Wangajiui, who was operated on recently in the public hospital for appendicitis, is making good progress toward recovery. Mr. H. B. G. Walker, accountant at the A.M.P. Society’s Wellington office, has been appointed sub-manager for Western Australia and leaves with Mrs. Walker i<n six weeks’ time to live in Perth. Mr. Barton Turner, formerly of the advertising staff of the “Wanganui Chronicle,” has accepted a position on the staff of Messrs. C. and E. Morton, Ltd., as copy writer. This is cne of the largest advertising firms in London, the staff at head office numbering 150. Flying-Officer F. L. Truman, who has been pilot-instructor to the Middle Districts Aero Club at Palmerston North since July, 1937, has been appointed pilot-instructor to the Waikato Aero Club. Mr. D. Campbell, of the staff of Union Airways, and formerly instructor to the Dunedin Aero Club, has been appointed pilotinstructor at Palmerston North.
