Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Fletcher, Auck- I land, were week-end visitors to Wanganui. Miss N. Wilson, of Inglewood, is the guest of Mrs. L. C. Young, Carlton Avenue. Miss Quin, Wanganui, has been visiting Wellington. * * * ¥ Miss M. K. Simpson, Marton, was a week-end visitor to Wellington. Mrs. S. Lowry, Ohingaiti, has been the guest of Mrs. H. Strauchon, Gonville. Mr. and Mrs. R .Steel, whose marriage took place in Wanganui recently leave to-day for their new home in Greymouth. * * * * Mr. and Mrs. Montague were Wanganui visitors to Wellington during the week-end. Mrs. Cullen and Miss W. D. W. Norman. Wanganui, went to Wellington at the week-end. Miss L. Hunter, of Palmerston North, has been on a short visit to Mrs. A. C. Bailey, Fordell. Mrs. A. Larsen, Foster’s Hotel, has | returned to Wanganui after spending a holiday in Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robinson, who have been visiting relatives in Wanganui, are returning to Blenheim by air. Mrs. J. Redwood (nee Miss Mollie McDonald), who has been spending a few days in Wanganui with relatives, returned to Lower Hutt on Saturday. Miss Julie Werry, who recently came over frdm Sydney on a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Werry, St .John’s Hill, left yesterday on a tour of the National broadcasting stations. She will sing from 2YA this evening and Thursday evening and from IYA, Auckland, on Saturday. Miss M. Garland, Wellington, arrived in Wanganui on Friday and has left for Marton. She has been in New Zealand three years as general secretary of the New Zealand branch of the Dr. Barnardo Home League, and will return to England early in February.
