ALLEGED THEFT

Allegations that he picked up a ro of notes worth £173 from the floor c the Waterside Workers’ Hall at Ne\ Plymouth, were made against Wi liam Henry Moseley, aged 30 year; married, waterside worker, when h was charged with theft in the Polic Court. The evidence was not com pleted to-night, Moseley being con: mitted to bail in his own recognisanc of £lOO to appear again on Friday. Waterside workers who had not rc ceived a call assembled in the hail a the port on the morning of Salui day, October 1 and, according to wit nesses, some of them played a gam known as “spinning the top." Amon those who took part was John Ed war Shore, and it was he who had droppci the notes. Two of those present sai to-day that they saw Moseley pic: them up and put them in his pocket.
