PERSONAL Mr. and Mrs. C. Medlicott are holidaying in the South Island. “HAUNTED HOUSE” DANCE At a recent meeting of the Waverley Lawn Tennis Club Committee it was decided to hold a dance on Labour Day evening to raise funds for the purchase of an electric urn at the pavilion. Mr. J. Brown’s “Haunted House,” at Karahaki, is to be again the scene of ghostly visitations at midnight and all the fun enjoyed at a previous dance held there is anticipated. The Waverley Star Band has been engaged to supply the music and already people from far and near are planning to conclude the holiday at this jolly function.
