DECISION OF LABOUR PARTY I Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 13. The Labour Party has decided not to place persons outside booths on polling day to give the electors their numbers, or cards of any nature. Referring to the views of local re-
■ turning officers that the practice of ’ placing representatives of political parties outside booths could well be abandoned, the secretary of the North Canterbury Representation Committee, Mr. R. M. Macfarlane, said this morning that the Labour Party would not adopt such a practice on Saturday. Mr. Macfarlane said that the • practice would not be carried out by ' the Labour Party in any electorate, but if such a thing was done by the National Party objections would prob- ■ ably be made by Labour.
