TROPHY ADMIRED

RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB SPRING MEETING ATTRACTION The trophy presented by Mr. W. McA. Duncan, of “Ruanui,” Taihape, to the Rangitikei Racing Club, for the winner of the J. F. McKelvie Memorial Handicap, is now on view in Bulls, and is being greatly admired. It consists of a canteen of cutlery, encased in an oak cabinet, and a silver tray and tea service, suitably inscribed. That trophies attract horseowners is proved by the splendid response, fifteen good class horses having been entered for the race, including entrants from Wellington, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Hawera, Hastings, Feilding and minor centres. In addition, a trophy to the value of £2O will be given by the club to the trainer scoring most points at the two meetings, spring and autumn, but the choosing of this trophy will be left to the successful mentor.
