POLITICAL QUESTIONS
Sir.—l have two very important questions I would like to ask Mr. Veitch, candidate for Wanganui, Mr. Dickie, candidate for Patea, and Mr. Gordon, candidate for Rangitikei, and as these matters are of great importance to«electors I would respectfully ask for an early reply. (1) If Nationalist candidates are so keen to see a clean fight and to make the issue Socialism versus rugged individualism, why did they introduce religion into the campaign? Do they think it worthy of men to stoop to such dirty methods in order to win political honours? (2) Will the National Party deny that they have approached businessmen in Wanganui and elsewhere with the object of organising heckling at Labour Party meetings?—l am. etc., L. STOKES.
