In the women’s doubles Misses Wynne and Coyne (Australia) defeated Mrs. Hopman and Miss Stevenson (Australia), 8-6, 6-8, 6-2. In the women’s singles semi-linal Mme. Mathieu defeated Mrs. Hopman, 6-1, 6-1. In the men’s doubles semi-finals Hopman and Schwartz (Australia) defeated Robert Harman and Gene Smith (California), 7-5, 6-4, 6-2. Bromwich and Quist (Australia) defeated Hare (England) and Riggs (U.S.A.), 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.
