RANGITIKEI RUGBY

MEETING OF UNION MOYE SCHEME MATCHES A meeting of the Rangitikei Rugby Sub-union was held last night, Mr. R. P. S. McKenzie presiding. It was decided to supply first-aid outfits to each town in Rangitikei where football matches are played, so Jong as someone can be found to take charge of the kits. A game is to be played between ths Wanganui fourth-grade team and the Rangitikei third-grade team at Marton on a date to be arranged. The McKee Cup challenge was accepted and a date for the match is to be arranged. The Rangitikei v. Taihape Pownall trophy match is to be played at Hunterville next Wednesday. The managers for the Rangitikei team fill be Messrs. L. Bull and A. Henwood. A curtain-raiser will be played at 1.30 p.m. between the northern and southern primary schools. The Oroua v. Rangitikei senior representative game is to be arranged by the secretary. Moye Scheme It was the general feeling of the meeting that the fixtures drawn up for the senior matches are such that the Rangitikei towns have been badly neglected and that all the important games have been played at Wanganui. It was mentioned that Bulls ana Hunterville had had three and four Saturdays on end without a senior game. The secretary stated that they usually had to rely on the “Chronicle” to obtain the fixtures as he was not notified of them by the Wanganui Metropolitan Rugby Sub-union.
