Hanan) was granted one day’s leave of absence on account of illI ness and the Hon. M. Connelly was | appointed acting-Chairman of Committees. The New Zealand Council of Law Reporting Bill and the Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill were put through the committee stages and passed. The Surveyors’ Bill was amended in the committee stages to make a definition of the practice of surveying clearer and was then passed. The Alsatian Dog Bill was amended to provide for lower penalties and was passed.
