TECHNICIAN KILLED
ACCIDENT AT BROADCASTING STATION. [ Per Pi ess Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, July K. The senior technician at 3YA wireless transmitting station at Gebbic's Pass, Robert Bruce Allan, aged 30, war evidently electrocuted some time between 10 o'clock last night and 6 o’clock this morning. His body was found at the station shortly after 6 a.m. to-day by another employee who was taking over. The dead man received a fatal shock of 240 volts while making some adjustments to the equipment, according to Mr J. McKenzie, station director. Mr Allan had been in the service of the National Broadcasting Service for some years. He was a married man and is survived by his widow and child, who live at the station. Mr. Allan, who was born i«lj . the Whangarei district, arrived at k Christchurch less than a month ago; to take over. Previously he had been I to take over.
