Third Round. -Lewis beat Gould, three games to one. Hall bent SaiH dral, three games to love. Semi-finals.— Renton beat Souter three games to love. Hall beat Ixnis three games to one. Renton and Hall will meet in the final to-morrow. NEW ZEALAND TITLE RENTON DEFEATS HALL. ( P»r Prrti X.txorii.' ion. I TIMARU, June 6. Playing excellent squash in every department, W. E. Renton (Timaru) won his lirst New Zealand title by defeating P. D. Hall (Hawarden) in the final of the Now Zealand squash rackets championship to-day. Meeting his opponent’s apparent winners with shots that, failing to take the point, placed him in nn excellent posiiton. Renton maintained a fast pace that Hall found too severe. Renton’s speed on the court was the best seen in recent years. The individual games were won by Renton 9-1. 9-3. 9-6. The New Zealand Handicap section was won by V. Jones (Dunedin), who defeated T. A. Gresson (Christchurch), 9-2, 9-4. 8-10. 9-6. In the New Zealand Plate C. S. Tomlir (Auckland) defeated T. A. Gressen 8-10, 8-10, 9-6, 9-3, 9-6.
