HAMPSHIRE MATCH
RAIN DELAYS START Received Mav 26. 12.30 a.m. LONDON, May 25. Steady rain was falling at 10.30 a.m. and caused a delay in the commencement of play in the match between the Australians and Hampshire. Waite, Ward, Barnett and Barnes are the Australians who will not be playing in this match. Rain was still falling at 1.15 p.m. and there was no play before the luncheon adjournment. The Hampshire team is Moore, Baring, Rev. J. W. Steele. Arnold, McCorkell, Pothecary, Creese, Boyc.;, Hill and Heath. The remaining matches up to the first Test at Nottingham on June 10 start:— May 25.—v. Hampshire, at South- [ ampton. May 28.—v. Middlesex at Lord's. June I.—v. Gloucestershire, at Bristol.
