DOMINION WOOL TRADE

DECREASED SALES AND EXPORTS During April 139,691 bales of wool were offered at auction in New Zealand, of which 128,762 bales were sold. For the 10 months of the 1937-38 season to April 28, offerings of wool in the Dominion totalled 708.86.3 bales, of which 631,007 bales were sold. According to the returns compiled by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., offerings and sales of wool for the ten months’ period of the last two seasons compare as follow:

Shipments of wool from New Zealand last month totalled 109.749 bales, of which 98,015 bales were greasy and 11.734 bales slipc and scoured. Exports of wool for the ten months ended April 28 totalled 618,825 bales, compared with 716,141 bales. Details of the exports for the ten months’ period of 1936-37 and 1937-38 compare as follow:
