FAKEWELL EVENING There was a large gathering at the club on Saturday night when friends . of Mr F. M. Fisher, who leaves Hunterville to take up duty at the Feilding branch of the Bank of New Zealand shortly, met to oid him farewell and make him a presentation □■: a well-filled envelope. The evening was spent pleasantly with billiards, cards, items, etc., and when the presentation was made several speakers paid high tribute to Mr Fisher’s many likeable qualities. Messrs Grant Simpson, P. D. J. Smith, E. W. K. Evans, A. J. Petrie, E. J. Hurley, J. Hurley and R. M. S. Jones also spoke in glowing terms of the guest of the evening, who they said had been exceptionally popular and who had taken a great interest in practically every organisation in the town during his three years on the staff of the local branch of the bank.
