ST. JOHN AMBULANCE CONCERT. Tae concert held on Monday evenfa the Town Hall in aid of the local branch of the St. John Ambulance Association was well attended. Some very fine items were rendered by the Fox family, of Hawei l Other artists assisting were the local Maori Choir. Mr. D. Adams (pianoforte- solo), Mr. R. W. Bremmer’s drawing-room when she was hostess at a five o’clock sherry party in honour of Miss Dorothy Handley. A smart frock of black velvet and silver was worn by Mrs Bremmer, while Miss Handley was daintily frocked in mauve ana cyclamen floral ninon. Little Beverley, the daughter of the house, played her part in the entertaining when she charmingly presented the bride-elect with a spray for her frock on a tiny silver tray. guests with good wishes for the future, were opened by the guest ol honour, a wonderful colection or handkerchiefs was disclosed and in a happy little speech Miss Handley thanked her friends.
