I DATES FOR 1938 ALLOTTED NOVEMBER 9 AND 10 > The Wanganui show dates were ! iixed for November 9 and 10 at a I meeting of the Royal Society of New ’Zealand held in Hawera yesterday. These dates follow Palmerston North, which has been given November 3,4, and 5, but clash with the Hawera show, which has been allocated November 11 and 12. Mr C. C. Baldwin (Wanganui), said that it was to be regretted that the Wanganui show dates should clash with Hawera, as both fixtures would suffer. Exhibitors would have io decide as to which show they would give their patronage. For years Wanganui had followed Palmerston North, and now Hawera wanted to upset an arrangement which had operated for a long period. Mr W. Craig, president of the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association, endorsed Mr Baldwin's remarks, and said that it had sent out a number of schedules, and it was impossible for them to change. Other show dates allocated were: Marton, January 25; Rangitikei, at Taihape, February 23; Waverley, March 19. __
