WANGANUI UNION’S PLANS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE School football was discussed at a meeting of the Marijg-'ment Committee of the Wanganui Rugby Union lasi night, preside! over by Dr. G. J Adams. It was pointed out by the chairman that the Wanganui Union had a direct interest in organised school footbai! in lhe whole of its district. The Primary Schools’ Union in Wanganui ana that in Rangitikci organised tournaments each year, and school football in the Taihape and Wainui-a-rua districts had to be considered. The question was what could Wanganui afford in the way of financial assistance? After full discussion, the meeting decided that a sum of £45 coulu reasonably be spent from the union’s funds and it was decided to ask the New Zealand Union to subsidise tK t amount £ for £.
