MR. SAVAGE’S STATEMENT. Received May 25, 1 a.m. LONDON, May 24. The Financial Times says that Mr Savage's statement will go some way to reassure holders of New Zcalanc stocks. There is no reason to doubt Mr. Savage’s sincerity and the statement should be sufficient to still what is described as a “whispering campaign.”
