RETURNED TO TRENTHAM
SETBACK FOR BOOMERANG The trainer T. R. George sent Boomerang back to Trentham on Tuesday, and it may be some time yet before last year's Cornwall Handicap winner sports silk. Boomerang was out of luck on the Egmont trip, as not oniy did he fail to complete the stable double on the opening day but he broke dowt during the running and is likely to be off the scene for some weeks. It is unfortunate for his connections, as he is very well at present and this is his best lime of the year. T. R. George believes that Boomerang would have won the Mcßae Cup but for the breakdown. He was co ng it very easily behind Ned Cuttie on the turn, but failed to come home with his customary verve on heavy ground. The trouble, understood to be caused by over-use of liniment, will probable not prove serious, but it will mean the missing of Wanganui and probably also of I Manawatu. I
