SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION large: crowd attracted With its shaded lighting effects and graceful decorations of toi toi fronds and canopies of green-coloured streamers to represent a huge palm, the Carlton Hall looked very attractive last evening on the occasion of the dance held by the Second Composite Mounted Rifle Regiment and Second Composite Company New Zealand Army Service Corps at present under canvas in Wanganui. The committee responsible is to be congratulated on the success of its efforts. The Masqueraders’ Swing Band played tirelessly and a very happy spirit pervaded.
