MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS. PRAGUE, May 1. Coach’es and cars bore the Sudeten Germans from the capital to Korkau for demonstrations on Sudeten territory, where Herr Henlein made six speeches. Meantime Czechs were celebrating May Day as enthusiastically. The principal streets of Prague were packed with people listening for hours to speeches and national music. Herr Henlein has suggested a Czech plebiscite to decide the attitude toward the Sudeten Germans, states a Berlin message. Clash with Police The Prague correspondent of the London Daily Telegraph and Morning Post says that a Sudeten German was shot in one leg in a clash with | the police on the outskirts of Prati- ; slava. . Two policemen challenged five Sudeten Germans who were sticking up I swastika posters and the Germans I attacked the police. An inspector ar- ' rived and was greeted with a hail j of stones and drew his revolver and ' fired. • The five Sudeten Germans were ; arrested.
